Dua Lipa the English singer-songwriter was born in London on 22 August 1995. After having worked as a model and songwriter, she was able to sign with Warner Bros Records and release her first album. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number three in the U.K. Albums Chart and released eight singles, including Be The One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. number-one single New Rules which reached number Six in United States. Lipa was honored with the Brit Award in the year 2018 for British Female Soloist and British Breakthrough Artist. The album has been certified platinum in a number of countries. Dua lipa was born on August 22nd, 1995 in London in the UK to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. Dua Lipa is Bosnian descendance by her maternal grandmother. There is also a trace of Lipa's family lineage back from Peja who was from Kosovo. Both of her grandfathers were historians. Lipa has a brother Gjin Lipa as well as a sister Rina. Lipa was influenced musically by her father the guitarist and lead singer of the Kosovan rock band Oda. The music played by her father was at home, including songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was five years old. In the year she turned nine, she started to sing at the Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa has covered If I Ain't Got You as well as Beautiful from Christina Aguilera and posted it on YouTube. The contract for her record to Warner Bros. Records was made in the year the year 2014. In August 2015 her debut single New Love came out.
