thomas sadoski-2The award-winning stage work of Sadoski began as an understudy to Mark Ruffalo, Mark Rosenthal and Mark Rosenthal in an Off-Broadway production of Kenneth Lonergan's play This is Our Youth at Second Stage Theatre. It was the first of many productions by the company based in New York. He has performed in numerous Broadway and Off-broadway productions and also in numerous productions at regional theaters. In 2008, he portrayed the part as Greg in Neil LaBute's show reasons to be gorgeous for MCC Theatre alongside The Newsroom co-star Alison Pill. It earned three Tony Award nominations, including Best actor and Best actress: Marin Ireland, and three Drama Desk Award nominations for Best Actor and Best Director: Terry Kinney. Sixteen Neil LaBute credits Sadoski for his role in bringing about the critically acclaimed change in tone in reasons to be attractive from the earlier work of the playwright, saying: "His own thoughtfulness and positive attitude helped me not rely on any of the plays I've written before. My plays usually end darkly. I've always believed that that was real life, that there was always a hint of gray, but He helped me to see different colors within the palette." He was the first Trip Wyeth character in Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities, for which he received an Obie Award (and a Lucille Lortel Award). After a sold-out Off-Broadway performance in November the show was transferred to Broadway and was awarded Outstanding New Off-Broadway performance by the Outer Critics Circle.
